Evocaciones Literarias - Poster
Sunday, November 15th, 2009My good friend Debra Herrick, a graduate student in the Spanish department at UCSB, asked me to help design a poster for the school’s annual colloquium on Spanish literature. We chose to create a design motif that evokes mobility and hints at the unstable nature of political borders. Each connected series of dots represents the various locations in which each speaker has either lived or worked. The shifting greyscale background of the North American map is an aggregate representation of geographical changes in the borders of the United States and Mexico since the 1700s.
