Chase the Balloons, a Bauhaus-Inspired Project
Sunday, January 4th, 2009A few years back, I designed this poster and developed a website for a bike-ride fundraiser held during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The design style is a nod to Bauhaus designer/teacher Joost Schmidt. Schmidt is known most notably for his poster design for Bauhaus’ first exposition in 1923, but he did lots of cool stuff.
The event was first held in 2005, and the website I built has since been taken down, so I’ve posted a video demonstrating the part of the site I enjoyed building and using: the flash-based navigational wheel..
