Santa Barbara has a great little cheese shop called C’est Cheese. A while back they announced a t-shirt design competition with a $100 gift certificate for first place, and some smaller awards for second and third. Being a lover of cheese and a sucker for unconstricted design projects, I put together a few designs..

Well at long last, the results are in and I’ve won! Here’s the email I got from the owner:

Thanks for writing, sorry we were tardy on the response.  We would love to print up two of your shirts, the hand one and the simple one with the cheese image on it.  I gave the design to my printer who is going to send some samples.  In the meantime though…  I guess that means you’ve won yourself two gift certificates!  I’ll write them out tonight and you can swing by the store at your leisure.

The funny thing is, even though I spent several hours on these designs, and would have made much more than $100 if I were hired to design them, I still feel like I hit the jackpot. I guess cheese is more valuable than gold.
